Jake Hamilton - Who is currently playing professionally for the Peoria Rivermen. Jake coming from O'fallon Illinois played his junior hockey in the NAHL. Jake has trained with Nelly for the last couple years as a player and is coming into his second year as an assistant. He brings a lot of energy both on and off the ice! He is VERY passionate when it comes to working with young players and forming lasting relationships with them. He has a special way of getting the best out of players. This will be Jake's second year assisting Nelly. After doing such a nice job in his first year Nelly is certainly excited to have him back! Many campers will love this guy.
Chris Dodero - Who is currently playing Division 1 hockey at American International College (AIC). Chris grew up in the West Chicago area. He played his junior hockey in the NAHL and BCHL. Chris has trained with Nelly for the last 4 years as a player and is coming into his second year as an Instructor. For those of you who enjoy stick handling he's your guy, he loves having the puck on his stick. Chris is always thinking of ways to improve himself on and off the ice. Chris has good ideas when it comes to creating drills. He is able to change the drills up to accommodate the development of each kid. It has been a pleasure to watch Chris improve both as a player and as someone who enjoys teaching the game.
Jack Jenkins - Who is currently playing Division 1 at the University of Notre Dame. Jack coming from Lake Bluff Illinois played his youth hockey for the Chicago Young Americans Amateur Hockey Association, where he played at the U-16 and U-18 levels. Jack played his junior hockey in the USHL for 3 years playing for the Fargo Force and Bloomington Thunder. Jack has been training with Nelly for the last 6 years as a player and has helped with a few clinics over the last couple years. The biggest thing that stands out most about Jack is his work ethic and determination. His work ethic is second to none! He is always looking to get better. He has developed as a player and has been given opportunities because of it. He has a special way of making others around him better when he is on the ice. He will certainly push the younger hockey players out of their comfort zones. Jack is a great leader and look forward to having him around this summer!
Tory Dello - Who is currently playing Division 1 at the University of Notre Dame. Tory coming from Crystal Lake Illinois played 3 seasons in the USHL playing for the Tri-City Storm. Served as the captain for Team USA at the 2013-14 Five Nations Tournament (U-17), helping lead the squad to the gold medal.Was also an alternate captain for Team USA at the 2014-15 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament (U-18), helping Team USA to the bronze medal.Tory has trained with Nelly as a player for the last 4 years and has been an instructor for the past 2. For those defensive defenseman out there he has a lot experience at the blue line. He's more than happy to offer advice. Tory has been a pleasure to work with as both a player and as an instructor over the last few years.
Ivan Chukarov - Who is currently playing professionally for the Worcester Railers in the ECHL. Ivan played his college hockey for the University of Massachusetts. Coming from Des Plaines Illinois Ivan played his junior hockey in the NAHL for the Minnesota Wilderness and was also drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2015. Ivan has been training with Nelly for 2 years and this will be his second year as an instructor. Ivan has a lot of shooting tips to offer, this guy can shoot the puck! Being a defensemen as well he can give ya some advice there to. Ivan is always a pleasure to have around, he fit in right away. He relates well with the kids and makes things fun for them! Look forward to having Ivan around for years to come.
Meet the staff that Nelly will have working alongside him during the 2019 Summer Camps. Nelly and his staff take a lot of pride in working with and developing players of all ages. Nelly has a very unique relationship with his coaches. During the summer he spends a lot of time training these guys as many are currently playing at the college or professional levels. He also works with them in preparing them for the future as many want to get into coaching after their playing careers. So they take advantage of both opportunities and bring their experiences with them while working camps. The player to coach ratio for camps is typically 5:1 which has been shown success in ones individual skill development in a short time! We look forward to working with your player!
Patrick Curry - who is currently playing Division 1 hockey at Boston University. Coming from Schaumburg Illinois and playing his junior hockey with the Bloomington Thunder of the USHL for two seasons, tallying a total line of 26-27–53 in 115 games played. His 115 games played make him the longest-tenured player in club history. It has been a exciting to see Pats progress as a player especially over the last couple seasons. Pat was awarded Hockey East Top Performer (11/28/16, 12/5/16). He has been training with Nelly as a player for the past 5 years and helping with camps and clinics for the last 3. The future is bright for this young man. He loves being on the ice whether its training himself, or helping others become better. Pat will be helping with the camp at the Leafs Center July 29th - August 5th.
